My story
I’m Miranda, founder of Copper Vixen Interiors.
Animals, nature and creativity have always shaped the way I see the world. Before moving into interiors, I trained as a veterinary nurse and worked within the veterinary field, while my creative side showed up through drawing, decorating and transforming the places I lived in.
After meeting my husband, a builder, interiors and renovation became an even bigger part of my life. We naturally became a team: I design, he builds, and together we help properties feel more considered, practical and full of life.
A move from the busy South East to Somerset gave us the space to build something of our own. Copper Fox Building Services came first, followed by Copper Vixen Interiors - a natural next step that brought together my design training, creativity and love of reimagining homes.
My designs are often inspired by the natural world, and I love bringing those details into a home through pattern, artwork, wallpaper and characterful pieces. I like to blend styles in a way that feels personal, layered and individual, creating homes that feel both practical and full of personality.
My Aim
Copper Vixen Interiors was created to help people see the potential in their homes and make better use of what they already have.
A big part of what I do is spatial planning: looking at how a home functions, how each area connects, and where the layout could work harder. This might mean rethinking a single room, redesigning a floor, or looking at the flow of an entire house. It could also mean helping you make sense of a new space created through an extension, garage conversion or larger renovation, so the end result feels considered and connected, rather than just added on.
I believe good design should feel personal, practical and true to the people who live there. Whether it is improving flow, using colour and pattern with more confidence, or creating a home that finally feels like you, my aim is to create interiors that feel inviting, individual and genuinely lived in.
We have been very impressed by Miranda’s ideas, suggestions and designs for our home improvements, particularly our proposed new kitchen and living spaces.
Miranda was very thoughtful and professional and made us feel that she understood our requirements and budget and provided detailed and exciting designs for our home.
